Who Influenced You ?
Considering that there are the two of us (and sometimes we have heated debates about certain mixes) our influences are still very similar and have come from legendary clubs such as “Trade, FF, Renaissance” and many others in between. Back in the early 90s djs such as Malcolm Duffy, Steve Thomas, TDV, Sharp Boys, John Digweed and Sasha to name a few where our main influences and we were fortunate enough to see the scene and the music grow from its humble beginning of vinyl…….!, (mind you we should not be admitting to this it makes us sound soooooo old……LOL), to were it is now with all is subsidiaries and categories of house, but we love most genres of house. As long as it fits or sound and makes us and the dance floor move.
What do you like most about djing or producing ?
Simply put, We Love Music and the people around it.
The blending of different sounds to create a journey for the listener, the way beats faze and create steps of music and each step taking you to reach a climax of sounds and beats.
The gathering of new sounds that you know would fit in your set and hope your listeners will enjoy, while always trying to provide a current sound as well as a forward thinking sound so the dance floor always stays fresh, educated, and always moving forward. And most of all it’s the shared experience you have with the crowd and the whole feeling of being together.
Very much like a tribal thing, a gathering, a happening for want of a better word.
Your Thoughts on Electronic Music or music in general?
We have a very hippy attitude to the music scene.
In our opinion all Music & Dancing are nourishments for the soul and should be prescribed as part of the national health service.
Offices, schools and industries all over the world should stop for an hour a day and have a dance. We are positive this would relive any work related stress and help increase productivity and create happier employees.
Although we are not to sure how this would apply to truck drivers, having to stop on motorways and have a dance for an hour, but could be a very funny sight for any passers by.
Oh if only we were presidents…….. (LOL)

Its not going to be easy to answer this question, I can see a fight ensuing in the HouseHusbands household, each of us fighting for the tracks we feel belong on this list, so many great tracks over the years, and so many have been remixed over the years but rarely making them better than the originals, and surely 5 is not enough, Oh well here goes…….

what gear do u produce with ?
Stanton cd decks, Stanton mixer, Techins vinyl decks for the djing side of things and for the production side we use. Ableton Live, Wave Lab, on a pc that has seen better days but still looks good, however sometimes has to be cranked up by hand like an old church organ! (LOL), mind you the same can be said about us at times, especially after a heavy weekend! (LOL)
What gear did you start on ?
We started djing with 2 mismatched decks one belt driven the other direct drive and a lot of praying to get the beats to match and hold for longer than a minute, which rarely happened as we where so raw and young back then the excitement of playing the two records together sometimes would tend to end up with our hands shaking and missing our cue point altogether, ahh happy days, but thankfully we improved rather quickly.
We used Logic and Cubase for the production side of things and we are glad to say it gave us very solid foundations to keep going and strive to get the perfect mix.
If you could change one thing about the music industry what would it be ?
The music scene has always been on a rollercoaster and always will be constantly evolving and surprising us all, we feel very little needs to be changed as music will find its own way as it always has. However some new breed of promoters who seem to have lost touch with the reality of what clubbing means need to be shipped to some woods, covered in honey and left to hungry bears to deal with, and that’s all we are saying……..!
If you could change one thing about the world you live in what would that be ?
This sounds like one of those questions for beauty pageants, the film “miss congeniality” springs to mind.
Unemployment, famine and diseases are some examples that we are sure we all would want to change or eradicate, however on a selfish note better weather in the England would be nice.
How do u see the music scene in the future ?
